AMD is expected to reveal their next steps in Ai, ray tracing, and other abilities of their 8000 series GPU's first quarter of 2025. The new generation of graphics cards will most likely come at CES 2025 along with another bombshell that they're keeping pretty locked up until then. The new graphics cards are rumored to target the middle and budget gamer with the flagship model, the RX8800XT being on par with their current flagship the RX7900XTX at a considerable reduction in price.

Nvidia has announced their 5000 series of GPU's will continue the trend of being bigger, more power hungry, and even more expensive. With the 5090 boasting an MSRP of north of $2000.

I personally game on an RX7900XT and can easily run all the top games on their highest settings and those can be found for $500 if you find the right sale. Where that extra $1500 goes to with the 5090(or even the 4090) I'm not sure especially when the Nvidia cards are so big most computer cases cant hold them.
